1. Agreement To Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legal agreement between you and Rising Sons Leadership Academy LLC ("Rising Sons," "we," "our," or "us"), a Maryland limited liability company. By creating an account, submitting an application, or using our platform at risingsonsacademy.org, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the platform.

2. Who May Use The Platform

The platform is intended for use by parents and guardians of boys and young men enrolled in or applying to Rising Sons Leadership Academy. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.

Student accounts for enrolled sons are created by Rising Sons upon enrollment. Students access the platform using credentials provided by Rising Sons. All student accounts for children under 13 are created with the explicit consent of a parent or guardian.

3. Enrollment And Membership

Rising Sons offers three membership tiers:

• Free: Access to limited digital resources and a preview of the student portal
• Plus: Full digital access including badges, challenges, reading, and journal features. Billed monthly or quarterly.
• Plus Live: Full digital access plus enrollment in a live virtual cohort with weekly sessions. Billed monthly or quarterly.

All applications are subject to review and approval by Rising Sons. Submitting an application and completing payment does not guarantee enrollment. Rising Sons reserves the right to decline any application at its sole discretion.

4. Payments And Subscriptions

Paid memberships (Plus and Plus Live) are billed on a recurring basis through PayPal. By subscribing, you authorize PayPal to charge your payment method on a monthly or quarterly basis, depending on the billing cycle you selected.

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your PayPal account. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. Your son will retain access to the platform through the end of the paid period.

Rising Sons reserves the right to update membership pricing. We will provide at least 30 days notice before any price change takes effect for existing subscribers.

5. Refund Policy

All membership fees are non-refundable after your son's first session has taken place. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 7 days of the charge at help@risingsonsacademy.org and we will review your case.

If your son has not yet attended a session and you wish to cancel, contact us and we will work with you to issue a refund at our discretion.

6. Conduct And Community Standards

Rising Sons is a leadership development community for boys and young men. All participants, including parents, guardians, and students, are expected to conduct themselves with respect, integrity, and dignity.

The following are not permitted on the platform or in any Rising Sons session:

• Harassment, bullying, or disrespectful behavior toward any participant, facilitator, or staff member
• Use of offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate language
• Sharing session recordings or platform content without written permission from Rising Sons
• Any activity that disrupts the learning environment or harms another participant

Rising Sons reserves the right to remove any student or family from the program for violation of these standards without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Rising Sons platform, including curriculum, challenges, reading materials, badge designs, and written content, is the intellectual property of Rising Sons Leadership Academy LLC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any platform content for commercial purposes without written permission.

8. Virtual Sessions And Technology

Plus Live sessions are conducted via Zoom. By enrolling in a Plus Live membership, you consent to your son participating in virtual sessions. Sessions may be recorded by Rising Sons for internal use and quality assurance. Recordings will not be shared publicly without consent.

Rising Sons is not responsible for technical issues on your end, including internet connectivity, device compatibility, or platform outages outside of our control.

9. Disclaimer Of Warranties

The platform and all services are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. Rising Sons does not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

10. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Rising Sons Leadership Academy LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform or participation in the program. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to Rising Sons in the 30 days preceding the claim.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Maryland.

12. Changes To These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the platform. Your continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
