Frequently Asked
Common Questions
From Parents.
What age groups do you serve?+
Rising Sons serves boys and young men from grade 3 through college, organized into four leadership tracks: Foundations (grades 3 to 5), Emerging Leaders (grades 6 to 8), Advancing Leaders (grades 9 to 12), and Leadership Fellows (college and emerging young men).
Is the academy virtual or in-person?+
Rising Sons currently operates as a virtual leadership development academy with live cohort sessions, mentorship, and brotherhood experiences. In-person opportunities are part of our long-term vision.
How does enrollment work?+
Families begin with an interest form, followed by a parent conversation for cohort placement, then welcome and onboarding. Enrollment opens during designated windows for Fall, Spring, and Summer cohorts.
Do boys need to be strong readers?+
No. Reading is one of our developmental tools and we meet each young man where he is. Our literacy approach is built to develop reading confidence, not to require it.
How often do cohorts meet?+
Cohort frequency depends on the membership tier. The Leadership Cohort Membership includes weekly live sessions, while other tiers include monthly live workshops and ongoing access to leadership content.
